Kas 1.18 Base
Our base was centered around a huge geode that we excavated. View from below:
View from the balcony above:
Bob made a giant chess set that I don't remember playing...
We had really good trades for every single enchant. Hall Number One:
Hall Number Two:
With all those librarians, you're gonna need a lot of paper. This extended from bedrock to the surface eventually.
Of course all those villagers had to come from somewhere!
A view of the lower half of the HUMANE villager working quarters:
Yes, there are donzens of chickens in there on top of a hopper:
We have class. Everybody should have a modern art exhibit.
Next to that, our indentured servant in the kitchen. And yes, all the food items were auto-sorted:
Our conversation pit/living room:
Right above those furnaces was the auto bamboo farm:
More of our indentured servants. They'll pay off that debt someday!
Gotta have the auto melon and pumpkin farm near the farmers:
I had a lot of fun designing this spooky library. Yes, there was a full barrel for every single type of book enchant.
The back of the library:
This one should make some people hot and bothered. We ended up with a pigman egg somehow and made a simple XP farm:
The bottom where they'd fall:
This tree-growing room had multiple "roombas" running under the dirt to suck up missed items...
And brought them here.
Our potion room, complete with cleric villagers:
Just to the left is a fully auto-sorted storage for potion ingredients.
Our banner making room:
Obligatory cacti farm:
Bob's Auto-Sort-O-Matic. Yes, we had nearly every item in Minecraft auto sorted with multiple chutes for dropoff convenience.
I don't know why we needed this much honey, but we never needed it again.
Everybody needs a trophy room. The top floor:
The lower level:
An iron farm is the cornerstone of any megabase.
The very first room in the base, where we stored armor, tools, and weapons.
I remember there was a sign outside this room that said "Sorter maintenance tunnel - Absolutely no sheep!"
We apparently had a skeleton XP farm but I don't remember this at all.
There are so many things that I didn't take screenshots of before it was gone. Lastly, here are some photos of corridor designs:
We designed our base like a sprawling maze on purpose so that if anyone broke in, it'd be a HUGE pain in the ass to raid. And yes, this means we got lost in it pretty often too.
An offensive number of people lived here and used our farms and I am really surprised it never got raided. When the 1.18 server started to die off I remember challenging a few people to find my base and even dropping some hints of the location.
